History

For over 30 years, the Singhaus Family built and supported a creative community that contributed countless works of theatre, art, music, fashion, & drag in Central Florida. Marcy, Sam (Miss Sammy), and Steve Singhaus were trailblazers and beloved members of the arts community – pushing boundaries onstage as well as in their activism for inclusivity and equality.
The Singhauses’ generosity shined brightly over the years as they mentored young artists and welcomed many into their lives as extended family. Marcy, Sam, and Steve used their creativity to encourage the creativity in others and made a lasting impact on their community; this scholarship is intended to carry that spirit into the future of theatre.
